Using only the good stuff

You might think that what goes on your skin, stays on your skin. But it doesn’t, some of it may actually end up in your bloodstream, what you put on your body and your face is important. The question you may want to ask yourself when choosing beauty and skincare products is: would I be happy eating this? It may seem like a strange question, but when you realise that women can expect to ingest over 2kg of lipstick in their lippie-wearing lifetime (seriously!), you’ll realise it’s worth considering.
Nourishing yourself this November
https://www.beautetherapy.co.uk.web01.eonichost.co.uk06 Nov 2019
This can be a tricky time of year from a health and wellbeing standpoint. There seem to be loads of pernicious bugs going round, Christmas is near enough to be something else on our ‘to-do’ list but not close enough to actually enjoy and, with the vagaries of the weather, homes can either be too hot (turn the central heating on!) or too cold (turn it off again!). Here are a few of my ideas for keeping well in mind, body and spirit as the nights draw in.

New year, new you: how to develop a self-care routine to stay feeling glam
https://www.beautetherapy.co.uk.web01.eonichost.co.uk17 Jan 2020
We’ve all been there: we get our nails freshly manicured or our legs perfectly waxed or our spray tan freshly topped up and it looks amazing - we look amazing! We vow to ourselves to keep on top of our self-care regime and never let our nails grow out, our legs get hairy or our skin get pale again. But life goes on and, before we know it, we’re three nails down, two shades lighter and have a small forest growing on our legs. Now, I know I’m being overdramatic here, but I’ve met countless women who just don’t know how to stay on top of their beauty routines. Don’t worry, though, I’ve identified the top beauty treatments you’ll need to look great throughout 2020, with the low-down on how often you’ll need to have them done.

February can be a tough slog of a month – the festivities are over, the weather is miserable, and there’s that pesky credit-card bill that just came in the post. Your body is calling out for a bit of self-care, but you may be reluctant to spend any money at all during February. I have some helpful insights as to why going to a beauty professional is worth the extra spend, as well as some money-saving tips if you’re in a squeeze.

Time for your Full Body MOT!

When I was at primary school I loved boys and adored playing “kiss-chase” at break time. One day I unfortunately tripped over my laces and managed to skid across the gravelly playground on my face! My mum was mortified especially when, even though I was fully healed, a wart had started to appear next to my lip and was growing! I was promptly whisked off to see a specialist who explained that the wart had formed as a result of my “kiss-hap”! He froze it off with liquid nitrogen and I now have a barely visible mark next to my mouth. I’ve often wondered if that experience is, in part, why I love a very specialised part of my job as a Beauty Therapist called Advanced Cosmetic Procedures (ACP).
